Where this world leads
Aroma descriptors such as orchard fruit, vanilla, spices or smoke are comparisons rather than ingredient declarations. Different people can describe the same whisky in different words, and both accounts can illuminate the experience.
A useful sensory record distinguishes nose, palate, texture and finish. The shape of a glass, serving temperature and the addition of water can influence perception. Consistent conditions help when comparing, but there is no single universal tasting score.
WHISKAVIA’s sensory knowledge will connect vocabulary with attributed tasting observations and sourced production information, keeping those evidence types separate. The objective is discovery, not artificial rankings.
