THE WHISKAVIA STANDARD

Curiosity.
With accountability.

A worldwide knowledge repository becomes useful when its facts, sources and relationships remain explainable.

No artificial research boundaries

Our research horizon includes all countries, languages, distilleries, producers, brands, expressions, materials, people, events, historic records, museums and relevant open sources. There is no preselected maximum number of items, countries or source categories.

Sources and responsible discovery

We seek official documents, open data, academic resources, archival material, public registers, authorised feeds and independent reporting. We do not assume a source must be excluded simply because it is unfamiliar. We respect applicable access rules, personal-data law and copyright while examining relevant evidence.

A connected knowledge model

A physical distillery, its operating company, a brand and an expression are different entities. WHISKAVIA connects them with dated, attributed relationships. That structure supports global research without duplicating facts or substituting a brand’s headquarters for a production site.

Distinct evidence, distinct interpretations

Historical milestones, geographical coordinates, product specifications and sensory observations are different kinds of information. Where sources disagree, we preserve the conflict and identify the event or claim rather than forcing an invented certainty.

Scale with technology, not bureaucracy

Automated ingestion and enrichment should grow with the catalogue. We prioritise efficient incremental processing, open sources, deduplication and provenance rather than artificial caps, approval ceremonies or repeated manual transcription.

The public edition today

This introductory website offers the nine editorial worlds in English and German. The first-edition manuscript collection and distillery research are retained for the agreed collective review. Planned interactive tools are distinguished from live functions.
