Memory is not an ingredient list
An aroma can evoke a garden, an old bookshop or a family kitchen. The connection may be vivid even when the described object is absent from the whisky itself. These associations are shaped by experience and cultural language.
The same glass, different stories
Two visitors may recognize different things in the same sample. That disagreement need not be corrected into a single authorised note. Context, attention and prior encounters provide a vocabulary that changes from person to person.
Keep observation and interpretation apart
A memory note can capture the image that came to mind, while a separate field records the confirmed facts about a producer or expression. This distinction protects the emotional value of the story and the reliability of the reference.
A quieter approach to discovery
The Memory Finder is an editorial pathway to reflective questions, not a claim that a live psychological or recommendation engine already exists. Visitors can begin with a notebook and return to the associations that matter to them.
Original WHISKAVIA introduction; not a producer dossier or live travel listing.
