A technically meaningful comparison begins with the correct entities. A distillery can make many products, a brand may span different production histories, and an individual expression can have its own cask profile and bottling strength.
Whisky DNA organises what is documented about grain composition, fermentation conditions, stills, maturation and bottling. Where a producer does not disclose a detail, the appropriate value is unknown—not a fabricated industry average.
The long-term Studio will connect source-backed specifications with carefully attributed sensory observations and transparent comparisons. This introduction explains the model; it does not claim that a personalised scoring engine is already in operation.
